"Hi! My name is Heather Taylor, and I photograph the stories of love and new chapters. People who are ready to document their real emotions are my vibe!"
I am an enthusiastic photographer, charcoal artist, and a teacher residing in Windsor, Ontario. Additionally, I am a mother to two delightful children and a wife to a caring and supportive husband. I take pride in being a sixth-generation descendant of freedom seekers who journeyed through the Underground Railroad from North Carolina to Lakeshore, Ontario.
My mother was the primary influence that introduced me to the captivating realm of photography. She diligently captured every moment of our lives, always equipped with a camcorder or camera during family gatherings, urging us to pose for pictures. Her keen awareness of the significance of documenting both people and the finer details has left us with a treasure trove of memories. Thanks to her efforts, our lives, along with my sisters', are thoroughly chronicled, resulting in a vast collection of albums that provide a vivid account of our experiences. In our household, capturing moments on film was a cherished tradition, and we were fully immersed in the joy of living while she documented our youthful exuberance and playful antics.
As a sixth-generation descendant of freedom seekers on my father's side, I have been immersed in my family's history from a young age. This background has allowed me to appreciate the profound privilege of capturing moments through photography, documenting the lives and significant events of individuals. I am deeply thankful for the opportunity to share these narratives, as I believe photography serves as a powerful form of advocacy, conveying the essence of a person's experience in a single image. It offers a rich and meaningful perspective, allowing me to witness and record love, unity, and life's most cherished moments.
Anyway, I hope you read all of this to the end as it may give you a good understanding on why I can't wait to listen to your story and take your picture.
Contact me, anytime! I want to be your friend with a pretty cool camera and an eye to capture you at your very best! ;)

Frequently Asked Questions!
Do you photograph destination weddings?
Absolutely! While most of my weddings take place throughout Windsor-Essex County, I also love traveling for celebrations across Ontario and beyond. Whether you're planning a wedding close to home or somewhere completely new, I'd be honoured to tell your story.
HT Photography is based in Kingsville, Ontario, and proudly photographs weddings throughout Windsor, Amherstburg, Harrow, Essex, Leamington, Wheatley, Cottam, Tecumseh, LaSalle, Lakeshore, Chatham-Kent, and destination locations.
What style of wedding photography do you specialize in?
My style is best described as romantic, cinematic, and editorial, while always staying true to authentic storytelling. I love creating timeless photographs that feel natural, emotional, and filled with genuine connection.
Some moments are gently guided, while many simply unfold on their own. My goal is for you to look back at your photographs years from now and remember exactly how your day felt.
Will there be a second photographer?
Bundle Three includes a professional second photographer carefully selected by HT Photography. Having a second photographer allows for additional angles, more candid moments, and greater coverage throughout your wedding day.
Do you capture engagement sessions?
Absolutely!
Engagement sessions are available on their own or as part of a wedding collection. They're one of my favourite ways for us to get to know each other before your wedding day while helping you feel relaxed and confident in front of the camera.
If you later decide to book your wedding with HT Photography, your engagement session can be applied toward your wedding collection according to my current package offerings.
What makes HT Photography different?
I believe every couple deserves photographs that feel as unique as their relationship.
From our very first conversation, my goal is to create an experience that feels relaxed, enjoyable, and completely personal. I'll gently guide you when needed while allowing genuine moments to happen naturally, creating photographs that feel authentic rather than overly posed.
Your wedding is about your story!
Do you help with posing?
Absolutely.
One of the things couples tell me most often is how comfortable they felt throughout their wedding day.
Don't worry if you've never been professionally photographed before. I'll guide you through natural movements and prompts that allow your personalities and connection to shine without making you feel stiff or awkward.
Do you photograph sunset and nighttime portraits?
Yes and yes! And they're some of my favourite images to create!
If your timeline allows, we'll step away for just a few minutes during golden hour or later in the evening to create romantic portraits using beautiful natural light or creative flash photography. These often become some of the most memorable images from the entire wedding day.
How far in advance should we book?
Many couples reserve their wedding date 12 to 18 months in advance, especially for popular spring, summer, and fall weddings.
If your date is still available, I'd love to hear all about your plans!
I have more questions! How can I contact you?
I'd love to hear from you!
The easiest way to reach me is by filling out the contact form right here on my website. I'll get back to you as soon as I can with my availability and everything you need to know.
